About The Position

Town Pump is looking for a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join their team. This is a growing company with increasing opportunities for career growth. The position offers a pay rate of $19.00/hr with a $1.00/hr shift differential for hours worked between 6am-8am. Hiring for day time positions with shifts from 6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, or 8am-4pm, working either Tuesday-Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service.
Handle cash and accounting.
Stock, price, rotate, and display merchandise.
Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
Ensure store safety and security.
Sell and cook deli food.
Operate a computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
Remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and handle customer complaints.
Stock shelves and coolers.
Complete accurate and effective shift work.
Clean and maintain all areas of the store.
Complete vendor check-in procedures.
Complete protocol system and “drive off” controls.
Advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations affecting store operating performance.
Sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.
Keep hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
Perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
