About The Position

The Warehouse and Distribution Center job family is responsible for the storage, transport, and distribution of equipment, materials, and products. This role involves receiving supplier shipments, picking customer orders, shipping, transportation, delivery, and inventory management. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for the initial physical receipt, processing, audit reconciliation, visual inspection of goods, and identification and counting of incoming material. This position requires accurate receiving of goods, verification against shipment records, and inspection of condition. The role also involves recording received and shipped items, inspecting and delivering items to stocking locations, and representing the FEI organization to customers, associates, and leadership. Data entry into a database or computerized system for stock records, retrieving information, placing orders, and responding to inquiries are key functions. Other clerical activities such as answering telephones, updating records, and completing forms are also part of the role. Adherence to all company policies, rules, regulations, and procedures is mandatory. This position is located in Brookshire, TX (Houston MDC) and operates Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm, with overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the initial physical receipt, processing, audit reconciliation, visual inspection of goods, and identification and counting of incoming material.
  • Accurately receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.
  • Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
  • Responsible for inspection, identification, and delivery to stocking locations.
  • Accurately enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information; place orders; or respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules).
  • Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.
  • Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.
  • Adhering to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Performing other duties or functions as requested by management.
