About The Position
This position is responsible for assisting store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items. The role involves operating and maintaining a cash register, as well as receiving, sorting, pricing, and preparing donated items for display in the store. The work is performed in a normal store environment with occasional discomforts associated with dust, noise, crowds, and odors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience working in a retail store preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Responsibilities
- Assists customers purchasing items by utilizing a cash register.
- Collects monies, counts change, and prepares receipts.
- Receive, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store.
- Hang and tag clothing
- Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of store displays, register area, and warehouse area
