About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while adhering to company standards for operations, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention. Associates are cross-trained to support multiple store areas and help meet business needs.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

• Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Work in other store areas as needed, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
• Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
