About The Position

As a part-time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will engage with customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner to create a positive shopping experience and drive sales. You will identify customer needs and recommend suitable products, services, and solutions, while supporting a vibrant sales culture, strong visual and merchandising standards, freight and logistics activities, and high client satisfaction. The position also supports a customer-centric store environment, engagement with the local community, and a positive culture aligned with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous. Entry-level associates receive training in technology and print products and services so they can assist customers effectively. The role contributes to store success through sales and service, particularly in Print and Technology, and through operational excellence. Essential functions may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party. Coworkers are expected to support a safe and healthy work environment by working safely and addressing potential hazards or concerns. Requirements

Basic computer skills, including the ability to use technology to access and enter job-related information.
Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
Client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented approach, with enthusiasm for the brand, products, services, and solutions.
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Proactively acknowledge and engage every customer to support a positive customer-centric experience.
Use the selling program to recommend appropriate solutions and promote additional products and services.
Stay aware of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
Maintain the appearance of the store and print department in accordance with company guidelines, including a neat, clean, and well-stocked environment.
Follow standards for signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
Follow sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
Keep the freight sorting area organized and set up according to guidelines.
Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
Develop selling skills and product knowledge using available sales and service tools, and complete at least the required Tech, Print, and other applicable training.
Continue education in relevant areas, including designated certifications when required.
Comply with company policies, procedures, and practices and support loss prevention efforts.
Work safely and address potential hazards or concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
