About The Position

As a part-time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will help create a positive shopping experience by engaging customers, understanding their needs, and recommending appropriate products, services, and solutions. You will contribute to sales, customer satisfaction, store presentation, merchandising, freight and logistics activities, and a positive culture aligned with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous. This entry-level role includes training in technology and print products and services so you can assist customers effectively and support sales in areas such as Print and Technology. The position may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party.

Requirements

• No prior experience is required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use technology to access and enter job-related information.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
• A client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented approach, with enthusiasm for the company’s brand, products, services, and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acknowledge and engage customers to support a positive, customer-centric experience.
• Use the selling program to recommend appropriate solutions and promote additional products and services.
• Stay aware of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the store and print department according to company appearance guidelines, including neatness, cleanliness, stocking, signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
• Follow sorting and stocking guidelines, complete freight processes, and keep the freight sorting area organized according to guidelines.
• Scan, investigate, and replenish inventory lows and outs daily.
• Develop selling skills and product knowledge using provided tools and complete required technology, print, and other applicable training, including designated certifications if required.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and practices and support loss prevention efforts.
• Work safely and address potential hazards or safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
