About The Position

As a part-time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, you will engage customers in a friendly, knowledgeable manner and help create a positive shopping experience while driving sales. You will identify customer needs and recommend products, services, and solutions, while supporting a vibrant sales culture and maintaining visual merchandising, freight, logistics, and customer-satisfaction standards. The role contributes to a customer-centric store environment and local community engagement, in alignment with Office Depot’s 5C values: Caring, Committed, Creative, Collaborative, and Courageous.

As an entry-level associate, you will receive training in technology and print products and services so you can assist customers effectively. You will use sales principles to support satisfying customer interactions and business growth, particularly in Print and Technology. The role may require consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third party.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use technology to access and enter job-related information.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients and associates.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory.
• Client-focused, positive, engaging, and action-oriented approach, with enthusiasm for the brand, products, services, and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acknowledge and engage customers to support a positive, customer-centric experience.
• Use the selling program to recommend appropriate solutions and promote additional products or services.
• Stay aware of planned advertisements, promotions, sales, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the store and print department in accordance with company appearance guidelines, keeping the environment neat, clean, and well stocked.
• Follow standards for signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation.
• Follow sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
• Keep the freight sorting area organized and set up according to guidelines.
• Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
• Develop selling skills and product knowledge using provided sales and service tools, including completing Tech, Print, and other applicable training and any required certifications.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and practices and support loss prevention efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work safely and address potential hazards or concerns in support of the company’s operational safety culture.
