About The Position

The Store Associate role focuses on maintaining a high standard of the store's overall appearance, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. This position involves providing friendly customer service, assisting customers in navigating the store and finding products. The role also includes operational tasks such as collecting and disposing of trash, cleaning floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and preparing cleaning solutions. Associates are expected to deep clean key areas, manage cleaning equipment, and proactively identify and address cleaning needs. The role requires completing all assigned tasks by a supervisor and adhering to federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers, and projecting a positive image as a role model are also key aspects of the position. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience with proper cash handling, engaging customers in the Rewards program and credit card enrollments, assisting with Omni channel processes like BOPIS and Ship from Store, participating in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is essential for compliance with laws and requirements.

Requirements

Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high traffic areas.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Execute Company policies and standards.
