About The Position

The Store Associate supports Goodwill Industries of the Greater Chattanooga Area’s mission by providing excellent service to customers and donors and performing a variety of store operations duties. The role includes cross-training and work in both sales-floor and production areas, with opportunities to learn, develop, and advance. The position is full-time and located at the SE Cleveland store in Cleveland, Tennessee, with a stated hourly pay range of $12.00 to $12.00.

Requirements

Punctual and dependable attendance.
Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers.
Ability to follow training, e-learning, work instructions, and company policies and procedures.
Ability to support teamwork and work across store areas, including the sales floor and production area.

Responsibilities

Support Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, values, and organizational guiding principles through words, actions, and decisions.
Maintain the confidentiality of the agency, employees, and participants.
Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors, and direct complaints to management.
Perform work tasks according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
Transition products to the retail sales floor effectively, with attention to detail and urgency.
Follow Goodwill policies and procedures.
Help ensure the security of company assets and donations.
Perform general sales-floor and production-area duties and cross-train in all work areas.
Communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers.
Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
Assist with loading and unloading Goodwill trucks and trailers.
Keep production work areas and the retail sales floor neat, clean, and organized.
Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
Attend and complete required training and meetings.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
