About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping CVS Health provide a more supportive and convenient health experience. The role includes customer service, cashiering, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Occasionally lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force, frequently up to 10 lbs, and regularly a negligible amount of force, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate additional items as needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping keep them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
