About The Position

HealthEZ is seeking a Stop Loss RFP Coordinator who is responsible for managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for stop-loss insurance coverage. This role works closely with internal sales, carriers, underwriters, and other internal stakeholders to gather data, prepare submissions, track proposals, and support the evaluation and selection of stop-loss vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3+ years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, underwriting support, or RFP coordination
  • Familiarity with stop-loss insurance concepts and self-funded health plans preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working with stop-loss carriers or brokerage firms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret insurance proposals
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy requirements

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage stop-loss RFPs, from data collection through obtaining quotes from multiple carriers
  • Gather and validate required documentation (e.g., claims data, enrollment, plan designs) for submission to carriers
  • Prepare and distribute RFP materials to stop-loss carriers and vendors
  • Track RFP timelines, ensure deadlines are met, and follow up with carriers for responses
  • Organize and summarize carrier proposals, including rates, terms, and conditions
  • Act as a liaison between sales, underwriters, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate records of submissions, quotes, and decisions
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with auditing final paperwork vs what was presented
  • Assist with loading contracts into system
  • Other tasks as assigned
