About The Position
Classic Rock Fabrication is seeking a Stone Countertop Fabricator / Polisher for their 2nd shift to transform raw stone slabs into finished countertops. This is a hands-on role on the production floor, involving the use of tools to polish and perfect stone surfaces. The work is physical, fast-paced, and requires attention to detail, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and teamwork.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to accurately read a standard tape measure to the nearest 1/16 inch
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write basic correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with supervisors and coworkers
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or stone experience is helpful
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Responsibilities
- Polish countertop edges, splashes, and surfaces to create a high-quality finished product
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Use pneumatic hand tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively
- Identify and correct quality issues before products move to the next stage
- Assist with repairs and custom fabrication projects as needed
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and efficient
- Work closely with your teammates to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe workplace
