About The Position

Assists in the leadership of the overnight stocking teams and department processes, responds to problems and inquiries, and develops associates through teaching and training. Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise Coach and the Store Management Team.
  • Assesses the overall presentation of store departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
  • Ensures strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity.
  • Ensuring all high ticket merchandise is secured, all doors and lockups are secured when not in use and completing daily audits as per program.
  • Review completed schedules with People Lead.
  • Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
  • Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
  • Complete GTA/Workday tasks and supports Management.
  • Partner with Coach/People Lead to facilitate performance management and growth conversations for Associates. Supports recruiting and hiring new associates.
