Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Woodward is hiring 2nd shift Stockhandlers to support our Machesney Park Warehouse. This position hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm with overtime expected through the work week and a rotating Saturday schedule. Individuals in this role will be responsible for order picking and kitting parts and components that will be supplied to the production floor, performing visual inspections and auditing processes. Individuals with inventory experience and/or a strong attention to detail are highly encouraged to apply!

Requirements

  • Adherence to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, math and computer skills using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications for tracking stock.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and achieve common goals.
  • Provide assistance and information to customers regarding product availability and location when required.
  • Precision in handling products per handling code and data to minimize errors in stock handling and recordkeeping.
  • Capability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and stocking merchandise throughout the shift.
  • Ability to efficiently manage and organize stock to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Address and resolve issues related to stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or supply chain interruptions.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks to maintain workflow and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Clear and effective communication with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
  • Picking and prepping parts, materials and components from multiple areas to be sent to the production sites for assembly, sub-assembly.
  • Verifying paperwork, maintaining inventory for accuracy and traceability.
  • Stocking and cleaning parts and components
  • Performing cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory counts.
  • Using computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Suite, SAP and inventory databases on a daily basis.
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities

  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Responsibilities

  • Picks material from racks, trays and shelves, and prepares them for assembly, sub-assembly, spare part orders or other subsequent processes.
  • Maintain and update accurate records of stock levels, monitoring for discrepancies and reporting them as necessary.
  • Daily inventory counts to maintain cycle counts.
  • Unload and inspect incoming stock to ensure all items are accurate and undamaged upon arrival.
  • Restock shelves and displays promptly to maintain product availability and ensure the production is well supplied.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to stock or mark information on containers.
