About The Position

This is a union position, those with bargaining rights will be given first consideration, according to the bargaining agreement. Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.

Requirements

A High School diploma or the equivalent is required.
A valid motor vehicle driver's license with a proven safe driving record is required.
The ability to obtain a CDL-B driver's license and a fork truck driver's license is also required.
Mechanical aptitude.
Manual and finger dexterity.
The ability to communicate effectively.
Follow instructions.
Learn various computer systems, including MAXIMO.
Push/pull 50 to 100 lbs.
Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

Orders, receives, records, stores, prepackages, issues, and maintains adequate stock of material, equipment and supplies in the substation maintenance storeroom.
May deliver materials to field locations and prepare materials for specific jobs.
Assisting with environmental issues.
Maintaining shop and yard cleanliness.
Performing weekly material inventories.
Other duties as assigned.
Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs.
Assisting during an emergency outside of normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
