About The Position

This position is responsible for ordering, receiving, recording, storing, prepackaging, issuing, and maintaining adequate stock of material, equipment, and supplies in the substation maintenance storeroom. The employee may also deliver materials to field locations and prepare materials for specific jobs. Other duties include assisting with environmental issues, maintaining shop and yard cleanliness, performing weekly material inventories, and other duties as assigned. This is a union position, and those with bargaining rights will be given first consideration. Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role, and individuals filling this position will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment, meaning they may be called to assist during an emergency outside of their normal responsibilities, work hours, and location. Eversource will not offer immigration-related sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

A High School diploma or the equivalent is required.
A valid motor vehicle driver's license with a proven safe driving record is required.
The ability to obtain a CDL-B driver's license and a fork truck driver's license is also required.
Mechanical aptitude.
Manual and finger dexterity.
The ability to communicate effectively.
The ability to follow instructions.
The ability to learn various computer systems, including MAXIMO.
Ability to push/pull 50 to 100 lbs.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities
