Requirements

Dynamic and reliable person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Committed to quality assurance and safety.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
No previous work experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Prepare items for shipment.
Receive, lift, move, store, sort, weigh and verify items on delivery notes or invoices.
Receive and process the receipt of goods, including stationery supplies, chemicals, electronic equipment and other materials on a daily basis.
Compare incoming and outgoing shipments with delivery notes, invoices, purchase orders or other documents to ensure compliance.
Determine the most efficient method of shipping using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
Unpack and examine the receipt of all goods, returning damaged items, recording deficiencies and contacting the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
Fill orders, remove supplies from the warehouse and rotate inventory to ensure freshness.
Resolve delivery issues using a computerized accounts payable/purchase system.
Assemble and deliver equipment to requested locations.
Use the internal inventory tracking system.
Prepare goods for distribution including transportation and storage.
Return damaged items or items that do not meet Sodexo specifications to suppliers.
Move or transport materials or supplies to other departments as required using manual or industrial carts.
Maintain the cleanliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping.
Ensure the safety of the inventory in the warehouse and/or refrigerator/freezer.
Comply with all Sodexo, facility, local, state and federal safety requirements.
Attend training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed.
Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned as required.
