About The Position

The Offsite Stock Manager will provide strategic leadership to the stock and logistics team and successfully execute company visions and values. This role will oversee day-to-day operations of the Service Center/Off-site units, including inventory management, shipment processing, maintaining organized backstock, efficient merchandise flow to store locations, and loss prevention initiatives. The Stock Manager will drive operational excellence and impact the business by optimizing inventory control across multiple locations, protecting company assets, and ensuring that store standards and processes for merchandising, operations, and business execution are consistent and well implemented.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License (DL) required
  • Demonstrated experience operating and/or driving U-Haul/rental trucks
  • Excellent product knowledge and understanding of inventory management systems
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively address inventory shortages, overages, and operational challenges while minimizing business disruption.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple locations and coordinate operations across sites
  • Proven communication and organizational skills, including exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to coach and develop a team to achieve operational excellence and productivity targets
  • Standing required for entire work shift.
  • Ability to bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds (as needed)

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of retail management or warehouse/logistics operations experience preferred
  • RFID inventory tracking and management experience preferred
  • Flexible schedules during peak seasons (weekends)

Responsibilities

  • Lead inventory management across multiple locations, optimizing stock levels, SKU organization, and merchandise allocation to maximize efficiency.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including processing, verification, documentation, and coordination of inbound/outbound merchandise flows.
  • Direct merchandise placement and floor stocking processes, ensuring product availability, proper rotation to meet store needs and operational standards.
  • Manage organizational systems and procedures to maintain an efficient, well-organized backstock environment and storage areas across multiple sites.
  • Monitor and drive productivity goals, establish key performance metrics, and ensure operational targets are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and coach team members, providing direct feedback, training, and supervision to build a high-performing, knowledgeable workforce.
  • Utilize independent judgment and discretion to lead all aspects of people management, including providing input and making decisions related to recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
  • Communicate clearly, set expectations for company policies, procedures, and operational excellence standards.
  • Manage operations including scheduling, expense control, loss prevention, audits, and reporting. Develop staffing plans that effectively support peak seasons, major promotional launches, and operational surges driven by headquarters directives.
  • Execute loss prevention strategies and protocols to protect company assets and reduce shrink.
  • Apply business acumen and product knowledge to make data-driven operational decisions that improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify operational improvements and implement process enhancements.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
