About The Position

This is a 2nd shift position working 3:00 pm - 1:00 am Monday through Thursday. The pay rate is $16.50/hr. Clifton Steel Company is an EEO Employer - M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to read inspection tools - Tape measure, micrometers, hardness tester, calipers.
  • Ability to read customer specifications, work orders, inspections sheets.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks and overhead cranes.
  • Ability to inspect equipment and slings.
  • Ability to complete proper records.
  • Ability to adhere to proper stacking methods.
  • Ability to operate equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain a level of acceptable part quality per internal & customer part specifications.
  • Ability to complete Traceability accuracy.
  • Ability to follow Work Orders and Pick lists.
  • Ability to prepare proper paper work and shipping documents.
  • Ability to perform basic dimensional inspections.
  • Ability to generate bar codes and properly affix to material.
  • Ability to identify the location of materials in computer.
  • Ability to assist with unloading trucks.
  • Ability to scan work orders.
  • Ability to load production into hand held computers and production system.
  • Must participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process.

Responsibilities

  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Perform repetitive motions, which includes cleaning of wood and debris from floor.
  • Read inspection tools - Tape measure, micrometers, hardness tester, calipers.
  • Read customer specifications, work orders, inspections sheets.
  • Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes including inspection of equipment, slings, and completion of proper records.
  • Adhere to proper stacking methods.
  • Operate equipment efficiently and maintain a level of acceptable part quality per internal & customer part specifications.
  • Complete Traceability accuracy.
  • Follow Work Orders and Pick lists to ensure proper packing and shipping of Customer's Material.
  • Prepare proper paper work and shipping documents.
  • Perform basic dimensional inspections, reading of work orders.
  • Locate, identify and pack (banding, boxing, palletizing, etc.) of outbound materials to ensure it is delivered to customers and subcontractors to scheduled dates.
  • Generate bar codes and properly affix to material, including identifying the location of materials in computer.
  • Assist Material Handlers or Furnace Personnel unloading trucks as required.
  • Scan work orders, load production into hand held computers and production system.
  • Participate and become actively engaged in the Company Traction & L10 Process.
