Corrections Stock Clerk - SCI Albion
About The Position
The Stock Clerk at State Correctional Institution (SCI) Albion supports warehouse and commissary operations by receiving stock, maintaining inventory, processing inmate orders, and overseeing inmate work tasks. The position helps ensure supplies are handled safely and reach the appropriate locations in a timely manner. This is a full-time, onsite position with work hours of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and a 30-minute lunch. Telework is not available. Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, is required. Applicants must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Requirements
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, PA.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions.
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receive shipments, inspect materials, store goods properly, and maintain delivery logs.
- Process inmate commissary orders, verify balances, stage items, and document transactions.
- Assign inmate work tasks, provide training, maintain attendance, and conduct searches for safety.
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other tools to move supplies safely.
- Order supplies and submit inventory requests using the SAP Warehouse Inventory System.
- Prepare reports, update inmate credits, record shortages, and maintain accurate documentation.
