About The Position

The Stock Clerk position at IGA Rockport is responsible for maintaining merchandise and ensuring a clean and organized store environment. This role involves stocking shelves, rotating products, receiving deliveries, and performing housekeeping duties. The position requires the ability to work efficiently, follow instructions, and adhere to safety policies.

Requirements

Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform job functions.
Ability to operate cashier equipment/systems
Follows dress code.
Follows written and oral instructions.
Follows established safety policies and procedures.
Works well with others.
Speaks English fluently.
Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.
Subject to pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
Rotates merchandise as necessary according to product expiration dates.
Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
Maintains a clean and neat work area.
Unloads groceries from customers shopping cart.
Carries or carts groceries to customer’s car.
Properly bags or packages customers purchases using correct size and quantity of bags.
Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
Performs all essential job functions with limited supervision.
Other duties as assigned.
