About The Position
The Stock Clerk position is responsible for stocking and straightening merchandise and supplies, ensuring shelves are presentable for customers, and performing basic housekeeping duties. This role involves receiving and unloading truck deliveries, rotating merchandise, and operating equipment safely. The position requires the ability to lift and move items, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform tasks with limited supervision. Additional duties may include assisting customers with groceries and operating cashier equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform job functions.
- Follows dress code.
- Follows written and oral instructions.
- Follows established safety policies and procedures.
- Works well with others.
- Speaks English fluently.
- Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
- Blocks the shelf to make sure they look good for the customer.
- Sweeps and mops as needed.
- Rotates merchandise as necessary according to product expiration dates.
- Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
- Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
- Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
- Maintains a clean and neat work area.
- Unloads groceries from customers shopping cart.
- Carries or carts groceries to customer’s car.
- Properly bags or packages customers purchases using correct size and quantity of bags.
- Performs all essential job functions at an acceptable level of speed and accuracy.
- Performs all essential job functions with limited supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
