About The Position

The Stock Associate receives shipments and accurately maintains inventory records. The role maintains stockroom and off-site locations and assists the sales team with replenishing the sales floor after shipments or during recovery periods. Associates may also help on the sales floor during peak times and complete additional store tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of customer service experience preferred, along with stockroom or related work experience.
• Basic product knowledge preferred but not required.
• Effective time-management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to remain mobile in the stockroom or on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items weighing up to 100 pounds using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs.
• Part-time flex associates must be available for at least two regularly scheduled weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and two weekday shifts (Monday through Thursday). Weekend availability must be on two separate days. Associates scheduled for 20 or more hours per week need greater availability to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high customer-service standards to internal and external customers.
• Scan shipments as delivered.
• Ticket and stock merchandise in the stockroom or prepare it for immediate distribution to the sales floor.
• Give the supervisor feedback about inventory levels and damaged merchandise.
• Organize the stockroom by department and category, and stock merchandise on appropriate shelves or in off-site locations.
• Adjust stocking procedures to keep aisles and exits clear.
• Store, ticket, package, and log merchandise safely so it can be readily located for replenishment.
• Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries.
• Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Keep the stockroom clean, swept, and free of garbage, and keep supplies organized.
• Assist on the sales floor during peak times or as assigned.
• Complete tasks on the daily agenda or as assigned, including store maintenance, lighting, and cleaning.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Follow stockroom procedures to minimize company losses.
