About The Position

The Stock Associate receives shipments and accurately maintains inventory records. This role maintains the stockroom and off-site locations, tickets and stocks merchandise, and assists the sales team with replenishing the sales floor after shipments or during recovery periods. The associate helps keep merchandise safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged, logged, and easy to locate, while maintaining an organized, clean stockroom and following procedures to minimize loss. The position may also involve helping on the sales floor during peak times and completing store maintenance or cleaning tasks as assigned.

This is a seasonal, part-time position. Part-Time Flex associates must be available for at least two regularly scheduled weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) and two weekday shifts (Monday through Thursday). Weekend availability must be on two separate days. Associates scheduled for 20 or more hours weekly need greater availability to meet business needs.

The role requires customer-service skills, attention to detail, teamwork, effective time management, and the ability to work in the stockroom or on the sales floor for extended periods. Physical duties include moving merchandise and operating scanning equipment and a POS system. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of customer-service experience preferred, along with stockroom or related work experience.
• Effective time-management skills to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work as a team player and contribute to tasks independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to be mobile in the stockroom or on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to operate a POS system.
• Ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items weighing up to 100 pounds using appropriate equipment and safety techniques; the physical requirements section also specifies mobilizing items up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify high customer-service standards for internal and external customers.
• Scan shipments as delivered.
• Ticket and stock merchandise in the stockroom or prepare it for immediate distribution to the sales floor.
• Provide the supervisor with feedback about inventory levels and damaged merchandise.
• Organize the stockroom by department and category, and place merchandise on appropriate shelves or in off-site locations.
• Adjust stocking procedures to keep aisles and exits clear.
• Ensure merchandise is safely stored, properly ticketed, packaged, logged, and easy to locate for replenishment.
• Pack and log merchandise as required for customer deliveries.
• Transport merchandise to and from remote stockroom locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Keep the stockroom clean, swept, and organized, with garbage removed and supplies arranged.
• Assist on the sales floor during peak times as assigned.
• Complete tasks on the daily agenda or as assigned, including store maintenance, lighting, and cleaning.
