About The Position

This role involves supporting both sales floor and stockroom operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Team members will collaborate to create a welcoming atmosphere, ensure a quick and easy customer experience, and maintain store cleanliness and organization. Flexibility is essential, as individuals may work in different store areas. Roles are available in Regular Sales & Seasonal Early Morning Stock (6am start) departments.

Requirements

The ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting them above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Stock and Fulfillment Only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready" by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online, mobile) by operating a point-of-sale system.
Handle bagging items of all sizes, including bulky and sometimes heavy items.
Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting/returning clothing.
Maintain a clean and clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies.
Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
Provide general support to the store, such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
