About The Position

This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. HII designs, develops, integrates and manages the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated ISR operations and accelerated decision-making. The Radar Field Service Representative will provide on-site technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational assistance for the Vista F50‑ERI Air Search Radar system. This role ensures radar readiness, supports system users, and maintains high availability and performance for mission operations. This requisition supports hiring at multiple experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets. This role is intended to be rotational for up to 60 days at a time.

Requirements

  • Level 3: 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Level 4: 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Level 5: 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with air‑search radar systems, RF electronics, or sensor integration.
  • Experience with Vista F50‑ERI or similar air‑search radar platforms.
  • Strong background in field service, maintenance, or systems support for complex tactical or ISR systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic outputs.
  • Familiarity with radar signal processing concepts, system-of-systems environments, and communications architectures.
  • Ability to travel and work independently at customer sites.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with operators, program offices, and engineering teams.
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military, DoD, or contractor radar support experience.
  • Background in SATCOM, tactical communications, or system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field-level maintenance, diagnostics, and repair for the Vista F50‑ERI Air Search Radar system.
  • Conduct radar system installations, integrations, and configuration updates.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance checks to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, RF, and signal‑processing issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Support system operators with training, best practices, and operational guidance.
  • Document maintenance actions, fault isolation results, and system performance trends.
  • Assist with testing and evaluation of system updates, modifications, and new capabilities.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to report field issues, propose improvements, and validate technical fixes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Provide rapid response and on-site support during mission-critical activities or system outages.
