Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a steward.
  • The ability to organize/prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • To make decisions in a stressful environment and accommodate a flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
  • The ability to speak and understand the English language; must continuously communicate with a degree of professionalism and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to operate a dish machine and floor cleaners; work under extreme temperatures; 0-110 degrees.
  • To be able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively supervises Stewards on shift.
  • Ensures that all equipment is properly sanitized and stored correctly when not in use.
  • Continually demonstrates thorough knowledge of all aspects of safety to include machine use, MSDS, and chemical usage.
  • Ensures that all Stewards are trained to adhere to specific safety standards.
  • Continually assigns duties for the Stewards to ensure maximum productivity.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of all kitchen inventory and tracks supplies and food items to ensure appropriate quantity and quality of product.
  • Inventories and orders all materials needed to properly serve the guests in the daily operations of all food outlets and banquets in conjunction with the outlet Manager.
  • Maintains knowledge of F&B Operation’s internal functions, controls and software updates and takes the initiative to convey pertinent information to employees regarding policy changes.
  • Receives direction from Executive Steward in regards to special projects and completion of special work assignments.
