About The Position

The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin and his club of the same name. His “club for mutual improvement” brought together people from all backgrounds to discuss issues and ideas of the time while enjoying life. With an emphasis on public gathering spaces, our hotel gives visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists alike a place to come together, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. The Junto will be both a destination and a landmark of the area, helping to define and add value to the future of Columbus. The unsung heroes of the kitchen, stewards clean, organize, stock, and reset the kitchen to ensure that everything runs smoothly and seamlessly. This department is more than just washing dishes; every task they are responsible for is vital to the success of the kitchen, and a Stewarding Manager is responsible for overseeing this team and setting the elite standard. This individual maintains a high standard of service, communicates clearly and effectively, and enjoys leading others.

Requirements

Prior experience as a Steward required, highly preferring Executive Stewarding experience
Thorough knowledge of health and safety standards
Guest-first mentality
Excellent communication skills; organized and efficient
Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent standards of service

Responsibilities

Manage, schedule and lead the steward team members; lead by example with thoughtful communication
Ensure all kitchen and dining areas maintain cleanliness and safety standards
Oversee inventory, including but not limited to receiving all orders, stocking, and maintaining inventory
