Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable Steward/Dishwasher/Busser for the Marriott in Fort Collins, Colorado. This position operates the dishwashing machine to properly clean all dishes, glassware, flatware and all cooking utensils used in the kitchens, restaurants and banquets. Re-stocks all supplies in the proper storage areas. General kitchen cleaning duties including the cleaning and mopping of kitchen floors, walk-ins and freezers, as well as managing trash, bottle and recycling removal.

Requirements

  • Previous dishwashing/bussing positions preferred
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • 6 months previous work experience.

  • All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
  • Sufficient manual dexterity of hand to load and unload the dishwasher, handle all sorts of kitchen equipment, knives, slicing blades, etc.
  • Ability to transport large tubs weighing up to 40 lbs. through a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work, stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment and employee dining hall.
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
  • Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
  • Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes.
  • Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and rewashing. Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue.
  • Sort, soak, and wash/re- wash silverware.
  • Breakdown dirty bus tubs.
  • Empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster area.
  • Clean and mop all areas in assigned departments.
  • Dispose of glass in the proper containers.
  • Break down cardboard boxes and place them and other recyclables in the recycle bin.
  • Performs scheduled general cleaning duties to stay in compliance with the health department.
  • Prevent loss of dishware, utensils and other kit.
  • Promptly report all maintenance issues.
  • Assist servers with clearing, cleaning and resetting tables upon guests’ departure.
  • Assist servers with clearing room service trays from corridors and housekeeping closets.
  • Ensure room service dishware is emptied from housekeeping closets and brought down, washed and cleaned and returned to appropriate areas, daily.
  • Bus restaurant and lounge of dirty dishes.
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the management staff.
