About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen and food service areas. The Steward will ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and stored, assist with stock delivery, manage waste disposal, and maintain the cleanliness of floors and cooking equipment. Additionally, the Steward will be knowledgeable about casino events, handle customer service issues, and perform other duties as assigned. A flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 gaming license.
• Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
• Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
• Must be able to work from a standing or sitting position and/or walking motion for extended period

Nice To Haves

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and wash all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, china, silverware, and glasses using the dishwasher as appropriate.
• Properly store all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, china, silverware, and glasses.
• Deliver and properly store all stock from receiving department.
• Deliver product and stock to food outlets.
• Take out kitchen trash, including, but not limited to, grease and food particles from garbage disposals.
• Clean floors in the kitchen area and cookers.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
• Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.
