The Steward properly cleans, stores, and maintains all washable items within a sanitary and safe working environment. This role is responsible for operating dishwashing equipment to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary tableware at all times. The Steward must maintain personal hygiene and sanitation standards as established by the Health Department, and follow proper food storage, handling, and preparation standards. Adherence to established Ecosure standards is required. The position involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment through regular floor maintenance, trash removal, proper storage of equipment, and cleaning of the dish area prior to the end of each shift. The Steward will handle and use chemicals needed to clean and sanitize tableware in a safe manner and complete all training requirements.
