About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who prioritizes infection control to join our team as a Dental Sterilization Technician. This essential role ensures patient safety and supports clinical operations by processing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and upholding the highest infection control standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
- Ability to follow protocols and procedures precisely
- Reliable and punctual
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to learn and ask questions
Nice To Haves
- Prior medical/dental experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Process and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols
- Operate autoclave and other sterilization equipment properly and safely
- Clean, inspect, and package instruments for sterilization
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance
- Follow CDC and OSHA infection control guidelines and best practices
- Monitor sterilization equipment and report any issues immediately
- Manage instrument inventory and reorder supplies as needed
- Keep the sterilization area organized, clean, and efficient
- Support clinical staff by ensuring instruments are available when needed
- Monitor expiration dates on sterilized instruments and rotate stock
- Maintain sterilization logs and quality control documentation
