Sterilization Technician - W Dental
About The Position
W Dental is seeking a Sterilization Technician to join their team. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patient care. The position is scheduled for Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the potential for an additional day based on clinic needs. The practice is located in the Woodward's Building in Vancouver's historic Gastown area.
Requirements
- Previous clinical experience working in sterilization role is considered an asset
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred
- Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation
- Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols
- Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly
- Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow
