About The Position

Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following established infection control practices. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital. Able to accept new ideas and learn position duties.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• CST certification required within first 6 months of hire.
• CBSPD or CR-CST required within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of items and equipment used by the department.
• Knowledgeable with cleaning and sterilization procedures and techniques.
• Basic understanding of various functions of the department.
• Conscientious regard for technical and minute procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year experience as Sterile Technician.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
