About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Sterile Supply Unit Coordinator and the Director of Perioperative Services, the Sterile Supply Tech receives, decontaminates, assembles, and reprocesses supplies, instruments, and equipment for disinfection and sterilization. The role inspects and reassesses instruments and equipment for reprocessing, distributes trays and supplies in a timely manner, and sterilizes trays, instruments, and supplies according to established procedures. The position also processes, incubates, interprets, and records autoclave biological and chemical testing devices.
Requirements
- Maintain BLS certification.
- High school diploma.
- At least six months of recent work experience.
- Complete a drug screen, tuberculosis test, background check, physical exam, and respirator fit assessment.
