Veterinary Sterile Processing Assistant
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Sterile Supply Assistant to join its Surgery team. The role supports surgical procedures and patient care by preparing instruments and operating rooms, maintaining clean and sterile environments, and ensuring surgical supplies and equipment are available and in good condition. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday and pays $18.00–$28.00 per hour. The successful candidate is organized, self-motivated, and positive, and is interested in developing skills in the veterinary health industry while working in a fast-paced team environment. The role also serves as a resource to the surgical team regarding surgical equipment. Responsibilities
- Prepare instruments and operating rooms for surgery.
- Troubleshoot faulty equipment, remove it from service, and submit it for repair or replacement.
- Maintain appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Decontaminate and clean operating rooms, the sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and wrap packs.
- Serve as a resource or reference for the surgical team regarding surgical equipment.
