Sterile Processing Technician, Central Sterile, Evenings, Baptist Downtown

This Full-Time, Evenings position supports the Sterile Processing Department at Baptist Jacksonville, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The role involves understanding sterilization principles, proper instrument and linen wrapping, prioritizing duties, knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes, and the ability to decontaminate and re-assemble surgical instrumentation.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Instrument Experience
- 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation Experience
- Linen Processing Experience
- Knowledge of regulatory protocols.
- High School Diploma
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required Or Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required
Responsibilities
- Understand principles of sterilization.
- Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
- Able to prioritize duties.
- Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform.
- Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays.
