About The Position

Sterile Processing Technician role in the Cambridge SPD Unit at University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. The position is a 13-week assignment scheduled for evenings, 15:00–23:30, with new employee orientation on Monday and Tuesday. Orientation includes 8 non-billable hours. The start date is October 26 or any Monday thereafter. The technician may float to any SPD location within the health system as needed and may be expected to precept, mentor, and train new team members or students. Weekend and holiday work are required in rotation as needed, and on-call work is required as needed. The facility is smoke-free. The client may cancel up to two shifts per month without charge and without pay to the worker, with at least two hours’ notice. Credentials are due one week before the start date, on Monday. Payroll is biweekly.

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of experience; new graduates are not accepted.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• Availability to work the stated evening schedule, with weekend and holiday rotation and on-call coverage as needed.

Nice To Haves

• 1.5–2 years of travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities
