About The Position

This role is responsible for decontaminating and reprocessing all in-house prepared sterile supplies. The technician will also issue, track, decontaminate, maintain, and transport various types of patient care equipment to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

  • CRCST required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • For newly hired Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Techs (effective December 28, 2020): Must pass a nationally accredited central service exam for CRCST and maintain certification.
  • CSP technicians will have 18 months from date of hire to pass a nationally accredited central service exam.
  • Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually.
  • Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
