About The Position

The Instrumentation Technician performs duties related to the sterilization and distribution of medical and surgical supplies, instruments, and processing equipment. The role also includes inventory management and stocking and packaging medical supplies and linen/uniform supplies. Under the direction of the Surgical Director, the Instrumentation Technician is an integral member of the surgical team and maintains sterilization and decontamination of equipment, instrument sets, and sterile supplies. The technician may be assisted by a Registered Nurse, Surgical Technician, and Material Supervisor.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical school education is preferred.
• Surgical Technologist certification and/or previous experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of the functions of Steam, Steris, and Sterrad sterilization is preferred.
