About The Position

Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey has an immediate need for a per diem Sterile Processing Technician. The facility provides a high-quality, service-oriented environment for surgical procedures and is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains surgical instrumentation and prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program.
• 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation.
• Understanding of steam/gravity sterilizer operation.
• Understanding of Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions when needed.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to communicate with staff, patients, and physicians.

Nice To Haves

• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.

Responsibilities
