Sterile Processing Technician
About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician will work in the Cambridge SPD Unit at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. This is a 13-week contract role, with an evening schedule of 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. New employees attend orientation on Monday and Tuesday, including 8 non-billable orientation hours. The start date is November 16 or a Monday thereafter. The position requires working weekends and holidays in rotation as needed, as well as on-call shifts when needed. The technician may float to any SPD location within the health system. Agency staff may also be asked to precept, mentor, and train new team members or students. The facility is smoke-free.
Requirements
- At least 2–3 years of experience, due to the high volume of work.
- CRCST or CSPDT certification.
- Availability to work the stated evening schedule.
Nice To Haves
- 1.5 to 2 years of travel experience.
Responsibilities
