About The Position

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you play an important role in patient care by cleaning, preparing, and sterilizing the instruments used in surgical procedures. While you will not work directly with patients, your work ensures operating room staff have the tools they need to provide safe, effective treatment.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and use a full range of body motion throughout the shift.
Must be able to lift and/or move more than 25 pounds.
Must be able to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) is required within 18 months of hire

Responsibilities

Clean, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Inspect and assemble instruments for procedures
Prepare and deliver supplies to operating room staff
Maintain inventory and organize storage areas
Operate sterilization equipment, such as autoclaves and instrument washers (training provided)
Use computer systems to track instruments and sterilization processes
