About The Position

The Instrumentation Technician performs duties related to sterilizing and distributing medical and surgical supplies, instruments, and processing equipment. The role also includes managing inventory and stocking and packaging medical supplies, linen, and uniform supplies. As an integral part of the surgical team, the technician maintains sterilization and decontamination of equipment, instrument sets, and sterile supplies. The position is under the direction of the Surgical Director and may be assisted by a Registered Nurse, Surgical Technician, and Material Supervisor.

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical school education.
• Surgical Technologist certification and/or previous experience.
• Knowledge of the functions of Steam, Steris, and Sterrad sterilization.
