About The Position

The Sterile Processing Technician performs decontamination and processes supplies, instruments, and equipment throughout ProMedica facilities. The role includes conducting biological and chemical monitoring according to quality assurance standards, recording data, and maintaining logs. The technician also manages inventory control, labeling, and inspection of supplies, including linen and packages, and updates instrument tray cards based on surgeon preferences and procedure requirements. On-the-job training is provided to learn technical procedures and become familiar with a broad range of medical-surgical items. The position requires the ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Clean, disinfect, and process supplies, instruments, and equipment.
