Sterile Processing Technician II (SPT) – Central Sterile Processing - PRN
About The Position
The Sterile Processing Technician II (SPT) is responsible for performing scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label, demonstrating proper assembly technique for instrument trays, and demonstrating wrapping/containing of instruments/tray. The SPT will also perform scanning of instrument trays to track location using the instrument tracking system, demonstrate the proper loading technique for sterilization method, and scan prepared items into the correct sterilizer load. This role is PRN (as needed) and works within the Central Sterile Processing Department at Texas Health Plano.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire required or
- CBSPD – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire required or
- CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire required
- Detail oriented
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred
- Recent sterile processing experience a plus
