This position is responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, inspection, assembly and sterilization of instruments, supplies, linens and assembly of surgical case carts in Sterile Processing in accordance with established policies, procedures and industry standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current certification in Sterile Processing Technology (CRCST or equivalent), and a minimum of one year of MWHC sterile processing experience or two years of external SPD I-level experience. Preferred qualifications include completion of a Sterile Processing Technician training program, experience with instrument tracking systems, and demonstrated competence in sterile processing practices. The technician must be able to operate automated and technical equipment, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, and possess critical thinking and communication skills. The role involves potential exposure to radiation, toxic chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens, requiring the use of personal protective equipment. The compensation range is $21.96 - $30.74.
