About The Position
The CS Technician II is responsible for decontaminating, preparing, packaging, sterilizing, and storing surgical instrumentation. The technician works collaboratively and maintains positive relationships with OR staff, Nursing Units, and co-workers.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year of experience in a Central Supply department, with expertise in OR instrument set processing and surgical casecarts.
- Must possess and maintain active credentials as either a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CBSPD) or a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from HSPA.
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate surgical instrumentation.
- Prepare, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation.
- Store surgical instrumentation.
- Work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships with OR staff, Nursing Units, and co-workers.
