About The Position
As a Sterile Processing Technician at STERIS, you will work behind the scenes in a fast-paced healthcare environment, helping protect patient safety without being patient-facing. In the Sterile Processing Department, you will support surgical procedures by ensuring medical instruments are clean, sterile, organized, and available to the surgical team. This is an onsite position at a STERIS facility in Concord, North Carolina, supporting multiple shifts and hours. The position is open until filled.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CRCST or CBSPD certification; certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire and maintained annually.
Nice To Haves
- 0–1 years of transferable or previous Sterile Processing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reprocess surgical trays after surgery by decontaminating, cleaning, inspecting, sterilizing, and correctly assembling them in a timely manner for the next case.
- Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic equipment, and drying cabinets.
- Participate in regular on-site training.
