About The Position
Skilled technical work in the preparation, storage and dispensing of medical and surgical supplies. Maintains a safe work environment. Processes surgical instrumentation. Manages surgical instrumentation according to needs of surgery schedule. Maintains the work area in an orderly manner. Work is performed under direct supervision and is subject to inspection during progress and upon completion.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school.
- Successful completion of a course of study as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician.
- Some knowledge of inventory control.
- Basic computer skills.
- Medical terminology.
